Indented Head Community Association.<\/a><\/p>\n\u201cBringing the old court up to modern standards will give locals a place to be active and social by enjoying a game of tennis or basketball.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a project the community has been keen to see happen for a little while, so we\u2019re glad it\u2019s now funded and set to go ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndented Head also receives a huge influx of visitors over the summer, including campers along the foreshore. They\u2019ll now have an extra way to spend some of their holiday time, especially on days that aren\u2019t warm enough for the beach.\u201d<\/p>\n
A total of 30 clubs and groups across the region received funding for pavilion upgrades, new floodlights, kitchen and bathroom renovations, improved cricket facilities, community events and much more.<\/p>\n
In addition, the council has awarded $84,900 in grants to 17 successful applicants under its new Community Events Fund.<\/p>\n
Geelong mayor Stephanie Asher said the council was happy to support the volunteers from the clubs and groups who put in an \u201camazing amount of hard work\u201d for the good of others.<\/p>\n
\u201cHelping community clubs and groups maintain high standard facilities is one of the most important roles of the council.<\/p>\n
