PLANNING is well under way for next year\u2019s Portarlington Mussel Festival and organisers are on the search for more volunteers.<\/p>\n
The festival, which will take place on January 13, promises to be better than ever.<\/p>\n
But the festival can\u2019t happen without help from the entire community.<\/p>\n
Volunteers make the festival possible, by providing traffic control, clean-up, visitor assistance, help at the gates, and everything else that makes it go.<\/p>\n
This is a great chance to meet people, make a contribution, and have some fun.<\/p>\n
The festival committee is also looking for someone to help out with marketing, in terms of managing sales of various items on the day.<\/p>\n
Another way to get involved is through advertising in the festival brochure.<\/p>\n
The brochure will be handed out to all visitors at the festival \u2013 nearly 30,000 attended in 2016.<\/p>\n
