Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School\u2019s<\/a> earth friendly event seeks to \u201ceducate, promote and advocate for sustainable living now\u201d, according to teacher Sue Constable.<\/p>\n\u201cOur twilight community initiative, with a focus on sustainable living, is returning for a second year. The purpose of Earth Fest is to educate, promote and advocate for sustainable living now,\u201d Ms Constable said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe school community, which includes student voice and agency, are busily preparing for the event, hoping to encourage everyone to make small changes to ensure a healthy existence for us all now and into the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe awe-inspiring Wildlife Xposure group will take to the stage at 4:15pm to open the festival. The wonderful, local, Wild Art Forest School will be encouraging nature play for wellbeing and creativity, and Deakin University will also be helping us understand more about our connection to the Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n
The family friendly event will showcase stalls and displays from community groups, sustainable businesses and environmental organisations.<\/p>\n
\u201cBring your family and friends and get involved in this great community event.\u201d<\/p>\n
Entry to the festival is a gold coin donation with proceeds going towards OLSOS\u2019s outdoor learning area.<\/p>\n
