FOR THE past three weeks, Ocean Grove\u2019s Mark Beshara has made his driveway come alive as part of a bear hunt where homes and businesses place stuffed toys in their windows.
\nWhile his cherished \u201cBombie the Kombi\u201d is presently out of action, unable to take part in weddings and events, it\u2019s still taking center stage with neighbouring kids and residents
\nincorporating his ever-evolving driveway display into their walks.
\n\u201cI saw a lot of people putting bears in the windows. Everybody likes my Kombi, sometimes they\u2019ll stop and get a photo in front of it.
\n\u201cI\u2019m missing my kids and my grandkids, so I thought I\u2019d be a little creative and I\u2019ve been setting up a different display for the past three weeks.
\n\u201cPeople walking past crack up, and a lot of the elderly residents that live nearby are walking past daily to see what I\u2019ve come up with. Parents tell me their kids wake up and look forward to see what I\u2019m setting up that day.\u201d
\nThe sky\u2019s the limit for Mark, who plans on incorporating his boat next.
\n\u201cI\u2019ve had bears on a motorbike, so why not the boat? At Christmas time, I always drive around with Santa out the sunroof and hand out stockings. I\u2019m happy to share my love of Kombis with the Kingston<\/a> estate.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
