We know in times like these, community support services such as the ones provided by Bethany Community Support are more vital than ever.\u00a0And, sometimes you just need someone to talk to.<br \/>\nIf you or someone you know needs support during these difficult times, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethany.org.au\/\">Bethany Community Support<\/a> have just launched the Bethany COVID-19 Support Line \u2013 1300 655 598 &#8211; a new and easy pathway to speak with a trained counsellor when you need someone to talk to.<br \/>\nBethany\u2019s support services includes the provision of emergency relief to help those who are struggling to cope with financial stress, support for individuals and families including therapeutic counselling, family support and housing services, occupational therapists\u00a0and speech pathologists to assist with your NDIS journey and support for gambling related harm.<br \/>\nBethany is committed to supporting the community and has adapted the way in which they now deliver all of their services. Services are now effectively delivered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over the phone &#8211;\u00a0Through phone calls or text messages.<\/li>\n<li>Online via video conference or video calls &#8211; Using safe and secure video platforms to make sure your privacy is upheld.<\/li>\n<li>In person &#8211;\u00a0With strict precautions in place to manage the safety and well-being\u00a0of each person.<\/li>\n<li>Therapists can also invite carers, support coordinators, language interpreters and any other people the participant would like to include in the session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bethany COVID-19 Support Line counsellors will listen to you, provide support, advice and helpful strategies as well as guide you to services that might be useful for your particular situation. It\u2019s completely okay to call \u2013 no problem is too big or small.<br \/>\nBethany Community Support has been operating for more than 150 years and believe that every person, whatever their background, circumstances and life stage deserves a fair go.
