{"id":3649,"date":"2017-12-11T08:27:37","date_gmt":"2017-12-11T08:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=3649"},"modified":"2017-12-11T08:27:37","modified_gmt":"2017-12-11T08:27:37","slug":"piping-hot-album-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/piping-hot-album-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Piping hot album launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Following the release of her new single and clip \u201cNever Let You Go\u201d, local musician Andrea Robertson will be performing at the Piping Hot Chicken and Burger Grill this Friday in Ocean Grove to launch her new album.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Titled Remind Myself, this will be her sophomore release, following on from her debut album It&#8217;s About Time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a huge flood of songs written after the release of my first album, which is what will be featuring on this new one,\u201d Andrea said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s such a big achievement for me to have been able to create not one but two albums, and have had people enjoy my music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don&#8217;t know if people grasp how much it means to musicians, particularly those of us doing original music, when you play a gig and a complete stranger buys a CD, or someone gives you an extra $20 just because they appreciate your music. It\u2019s not so much the money, it\u2019s just the fact that someone appreciates what you\u2019re doing and sees the value in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrea\u2019s new album was produced by local sound engineer Nick Huggins. She also worked with celebrated Australian blues musician Chris Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really excited to be able to launch my album in my hometown of Ocean Grove and to have Chris there as well will be a really great vibe for the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overall the album is a fusion of soulful blues, folk and country along with a dash of rockabilly, which brings together the old and the new.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea has also won the Emerging Artist Grant recipient for this year\u2019s Queenscliff Music Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really appreciative for the award and look forward to releasing another album next year thanks to the grant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Piping Hot Chicken and Burger Grill is located at 63A The Terrace, Ocean Grove. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.30pm start.
