OCEAN Grove-Barwon Heads RSL Sub-Branch is ready for this year\u2019s Poppy Appeal, with committed volunteers manning stations in Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.<\/p>\n
Not only does buying and wearing a poppy show respect for our country\u2019s fallen heroes, but it helps raise vital funds to assist past and present servicemen and women and their dependents in times of need.<\/p>\n
RSL Sub-Branch president Graham Fisher acknowledged the phenomenal commitment shown by the members and volunteers who time and time again made the Poppy Appeal such a success.<\/p>\n
\u201cYear in, year out, our community rallies together to support the Poppy Appeal in the lead up to Remembrance Day,\u201d Mr Fisher said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to thank the local community from the very outset who support our sub-branch and wear their poppy with pride.<\/p>\n
Ocean Grove selling stations will be located outside Safeway Caltex in Shell Road, Pharmasave Pharmacy in the Main Street and outside LiquourLand in the Coles supermarket carpark.<\/p>\n
