THE company which operates At The Heads in Barwon Heads has been awarded a 21-year lease to operate the Dunes Caf\u00e9 at Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n
Following a competitive tender process, Barwon Coast Committee of Management announced Short Game Pty Ltd as the new operators of the cafe at the soon to be redeveloped Ocean Grove Surf Beach Complex.<\/p>\n
Barwon Coast general manager Gary McPike said the keenly contested tender attracted state-wide interest, including several local existing business owners currently operating hospitality businesses in the Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads area.<\/p>\n
\u201cShort Game Pty provided the tender evaluation panel with a clear leading tender and were consequently recommended to the tender committee,\u201d Mr McPike said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn comparing the financial offer and overall capability and experience of each submission, the tender committee found that Short Game offered the superior tender with respect to both the financial and overall non-financial, vision, capability and service provision.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr McPike said the timing of the tender allowed Short Game to have direct input into the detailed design phase of the project development, allowing the business to adapt the new premises to suit its needs.<\/p>\n
