NEWCOMB Football and Netball Club has appointed a new A Grade netball coach.<\/p>\n
Kristen Clark says the club\u2019s passion, hard work and vision for the future attracted her to the role.<\/p>\n
Clark will take on the role of A Grade coach for the 2018 season, bringing a wealth of knowledge having played more than 250 GFL netball games for Saint Albans both as a playing coach and player.<\/p>\n
Clark has spent the past three years under the guidance and tutelage of Olympian and commonwealth gold medalist Nicole Richardson, who represented Australia in women\u2019s netball at the 2002 games.<\/p>\n
She also has an excellent understanding of the systems and set plays needed to be competitive in today\u2019s competition and will also bring professionalism and experience to pre-season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI signed up to the job to help build the club back up and become successful once again,\u201d Clark said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m hoping that by reducing the margins across the board, Newcomb will no longer be perceived as an easy win within the league and we can get some wins on the board.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said throughout the interview process she discovered Newcomb was a very family-orientated club that was passionate about moving forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to achieve this.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey got me over the line with their passion and hard work of the executive-committee and the vision they have for the club over the next few years.\u201d<\/p>\n
