The kinder received a grant from Dymocks Children\u2019s Charities\u2019 Library Regeneration Program, which was matched by the Leopold Community Fund, totalling $2,300.<\/p>\n
Kindergarten leader Tracy Waring said the books would help modernise their library, especially since the kinder had been around for 55 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe books we have been given are really great because they are updating the older ones we have, they include messages on resilience, sense of identity, confidence, those types of things,\u201d Mrs Waring said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are also a variety of books on sensitive topics, such as death, that parents will be able to take home and use as a resource.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs Waring said the books would help make their more relevant for the kids and teaching of today.<\/p>\n
She said the children would be able to access the books in their library on a daily basis and borrow them to take home.<\/p>\n
