RETIRED Bellarine Peninsula local Beverley Lewis says that deciding to move from a large family home in Ocean Grove to Bellarine Springs Retirement Village in Drysdale was one of the \u201cbest decisions\u201d she and her husband Peter have ever made.<\/p>\n
\u201cLiving in a large, three-level home was getting to be too much for us, and we wanted to live somewhere that was close to everything and required little or no maintenance,\u201d Beverley said.<\/p>\n
Beverley and Peter, who moved to Bellarine Springs two years ago, say they \u201clove\u201d their new home, which has a prime position in the village, just a few steps away from the new state-of-the-art community centre.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we love most is the strong sense of community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe moment you walk through the front door you get that feeling.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not artificial or contrived. Geoff, the owner, has succeeded in creating a community, not just in building a village.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beverley says she is looking forward to meeting people at the village\u2019s coming open days, where visitors can view the village and get facts and advice from an array of property and retirement experts.<\/p>\n
Geoffrey Reeve, chief executive officer of Pinnacle Living, says the open days are a great chance for people to see what makes his villages different.<\/p>\n
