<\/p>\nPORTARLINGTON Cricket Club\u2019s Pink Stumps Day proved to be a fantastic event at the weekend, raising almost $3000 for the McGrath Foundation.<\/p>\n
Organisers said the event, which was postponed due to the pandemic, attracted a great turnout of 85 guests on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Organiser Claire Heatlie said the event raised double the funds compared to last year\u2019s pink day fundraiser, totalling $2971.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a fantastic day,\u201d Claire said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had such a great turnout and there were heaps of raffles and winners, and we raised $2971\u2026 double last year!\u201d<\/p>\n

All funds raised will go to the McGrath Foundation to support the work they do providing breast care nurses.<\/p>\n
The theme was dress to impress and the ladies all wore something pink.<\/p>\n
There was a high tea on offer at the event and glass of bubbles on arrival.<\/p>\n
The Knitted Knockers spoke about their work making cotton prosthesis for breast cancer women who have had a mastectomy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were so thrilled with the amount of interest this year and are so thankful for everyone\u2019s support,\u201d Claire said.<\/p>\n
