A SEA of white shone in the sun as Clifton Springs Primary School pupils, staff, families and members of the community assembled for their \u201cWalk for Respect\u201d.<\/p>\n
Representatives from Victoria Police, ambulance and the Salvation Army joined the school community in a march to mark their recognition of the need to treat others with respect and kindness.<\/p>\n
More than 300 Clifton Springs Primary pupils dressed in white and walked together as a symbol of respect \u2013 the Prep to Year 2 students to Percy Cherry Park, and Year 3 to Year 6 students to the Curlewis Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n
On returning to the school, pupils made a pledge and tied a white ribbon on what they pledged to do for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n
As part of this day families were asked to make a small donation to those children who may need to flee their homes due to family violence.<\/p>\n
The pupils filled backpacks with a variety of new items, which may help these children in a small way.<\/p>\n
The backpacks and gifts were then donated to Minerva (Women\u2019s and Children services) and the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
