GATEWAY Plaza Leopold has given traditional carols a fun twist with a \u201cCaroloke\u201d event tomorrow (Friday) night.<\/p>\n
Local community groups and schools will show off their talents for a chance to win a $1,000 cash grand prize.<\/p>\n
In full Bellarine community spirit, the merry event will include an array of Christmas songs and dances, with event-goers treated to delicious free samples from Schnitz and other retailers, along with spot prizes on the night including vouchers.<\/p>\n
Participating community groups, including PGLD Geelong Line Dancing, will receive a $250 Gateway Plaza Leopold voucher for participating and also compete for the $1,000 cash grand prize to help support their important work.<\/p>\n
Centre manager Russell Yelland said he was thrilled to be supporting local community groups while celebrating the festive season in true Bellarine style.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look forward to seeing local talent showcased at the Caroloke event and hope our customers enjoy the unique entertainment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The event will run between 7-9pm.<\/p>\n
