{"id":43157,"date":"2021-07-27T04:00:01","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T18:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=43157"},"modified":"2021-07-21T20:18:52","modified_gmt":"2021-07-21T10:18:52","slug":"footy-is-all-about-having-a-ball-at-newcomb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/footy-is-all-about-having-a-ball-at-newcomb\/","title":{"rendered":"Footy is all about having a ball at Newcomb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSKICK at Newcomb Football Club will be back in play once our state\u2019s latest lockdown finishes, with five more sessions on offer.<\/p>\n<p>Junior Football Co-ordinator Scott Smith said the club had attracted record numbers across netball and football this season, despite uncertain times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been tough with stopping and starting, but it\u2019s great to see the kids out having fun,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A handful of young players were recently selected to run out with the seniors during their game against Drysdale on Saturday, July 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just pick the kids at random, they are part of the team meeting with all players and coach, then we have lunch with them and chat about the games they have played and football.,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey then participate with the seniors in their warm up and then run out on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the second year we have run the match day experience \u2026 the kids get to see an insight into the Power seniors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Smith said the club was currently promoting the Auskick Burst Program for after lockdown, which would run for five more sessions, and only cost $56 which includes an Auskick pack, hoodie and boots.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Smith said the program, ideal for five to 10-year-olds, offered lots of fun activities and games.<\/p>\n<p>The Auskick Burst Program will run on Sunday mornings between 10.30am and 11.30am.<\/p>\n<p>The club will also be running football and netball school holiday programs in September, but these are yet to finalised.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions please call Scott Smith on 0403 017 977 or email npfncjuniorfootball@gmail.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AUSKICK at Newcomb Football Club will be back in play once our state\u2019s latest lockdown finishes, with five more sessions on offer.
