THE Wonderland Spiegeltent will be back in Barwon Heads for the next three summers.<\/p>\n
Last week, Barwon Coast announced the festival was the successful applicant to their expression of interest (EOI) process to provide summer entertainment in Lahey Square.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe evaluation criteria for the EOI placed a high value on providers who could supply quality entertainment to a broad demographic,\u201d Barwon Coast chief executive officer Gary McPike said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was also important to us that the service is provided with minimal impacts on the amenity of the site.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleased to welcome the Wonderland Spiegeltent back to Barwon Heads this summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cCommunity feedback has been overwhelmingly positive on their operation over previous summers.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir commitment to operating in a COVIDSafe manner will also be welcomed by the local community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tickets go on sale on Monday next week, and Wonderland Spieletent manager Melissa Head said she was delighted to be bringing the Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub back to Barwon Heads and the Bellarine Peninsula.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so excited to be back and look forward to the summer magic and bringing much fun and laughter after the year we have all had.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will be opening on Sunday 26th December 2021 and playing for the month of January until the 30th January 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cShake the sand off from the beach and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub as we bring a spectacular program of live entertainment including circus, cabaret, comedy, and music headliners Darlinghurst, Ella Hooper, Fanny Lumsden and more to be announced, as well as local artists and family events.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur festival hub is COVIDSafe and will feature live performances, a nostalgic Ferris Wheel, world-class acts and local performances.<\/p>\n
