A NEW Integrated Children\u2019s Centre to be built at Drysdale has received a $1.3 million injection.<\/p>\n
Bellarine MP Lisa Neville recently announced the state government funding for the $13 million centre, which is due to open in 2020.<\/p>\n
The centre, which is designed to have a Green Star rating of five stars, is proposed to be built on vacant blocks at 38-40 High Street, next to the Bellarine Community Health Centre.<\/p>\n
The centre will offer a minimum of 90 long day child care and 66 sessional kindergarten places for the community, as well as multi-purpose and consulting rooms and maternal and child health consulting services.<\/p>\n
It is also being developed to accommodate population growth and the need to renew and expand existing service facilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that high-quality early years education and care are vital to giving children the best start in life, which is why the government is investing in first-rate early learning facilities,\u201d Ms Neville said.<\/p>\n
