A SENSITIVE, creative and imaginative self-portrait has earnt Brooke Lyons a deserving award.<\/p>\n
The outstanding art by the 16-year-old artist was recognised recently at the annual end of year exhibition presented by art’sKool@Kazworks in Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n
Brooke was awarded the highest award for Excellence and Creativity by art’sKool after having won a scholarship to participate in the art’sKool program.<\/p>\n
Her painting, a self-portrait, depicts the young artist with a band of colour over her eyes.<\/p>\n
The work is sensitive, creative and imaginative while beautifully executed by the young artist.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very proud of Brooke, she is very talented,\u201d Kaz McGlynn of art\u2019sKool@Kazworks said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven though art’sKool is an award winning school, it’s more about the young artists, their development, achievements and building their confidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also teach them about being professional artists and entrepreneurs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brooke\u2019s portrait was also exhibited in the National Young Artists Award in which she was a finalist.<\/p>\n
This group exhibition of eight young artists, entitled \u201cMe, Myself\u201d, was sponsored by Geelong Rotary and held at The Studio in Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n
Brooke has gone on to sell limited edition prints and cards of her artworks.<\/p>\n
art\u2019sKool is a nationally recognised art school that provides programs which are unique and modern, inspiring every child to have fun and unleash their artistic flair.<\/p>\n
