THIS year\u2019s program at the Potato Shed will offer an exciting variety of theatre, dance and music from visiting professional companies and local artists.<\/p>\n
The 2022 season features all the elements the Drysdale venue is famous for: music, storytelling, comedy, drama, captivating circus and extravagant cabaret.<\/p>\n
Usually held on the first Wednesday in December, the uncertainty around COVID shifted the popular annual reveal to Wednesday last week. Mr MacLeod welcomed the return of crowds back to the shed.<\/p>\n \u201cIn our small, little band of people, we\u2019ve renamed this year \u2018the year of living dangerously\u2019, and so we\u2019ve programmed a lot of shows,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s season includes productions postponed from 2021 including Margaret Fulton: the Musical<\/em>; Dahlin! It\u2019s the Jeanne Little Show<\/em>, Mother & Son<\/em> and REBEL<\/em>, a high-octane, live circus theatrical tour de force inspired by the genius of David Bowie.<\/p>\n Kutcha Edwards will head to the Potato Shed for the first time with Circling Time \u2013 Songs & Stories<\/em>, a show that depicts Edwards\u2019 life as a renowned First Nations singer\/songwriter and proud Mutti, Yorta Youra and Nari man.<\/p>\n A reimagined Jekyll and Hyde<\/em>, presented by A Slightly Isolated Dog, invites you, the audience, to help tell this slightly bonkers rendition of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson tale.<\/p>\n
\nHosted by Rob MacLeod and Desiree Jacobson (filling in for Lisa Harvey), the launch featured songs from \u201chouse band\u201d David Cosma and Nick Carrafa, Colin Mockett performing Morning Showtime<\/em>, and several video guests.<\/p>\n
