{"id":48988,"date":"2022-02-22T04:15:47","date_gmt":"2022-02-21T17:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=48988"},"modified":"2022-02-15T14:52:46","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T03:52:46","slug":"seagulls-coach-womens-reserves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/sport\/seagulls-coach-womens-reserves\/","title":{"rendered":"Seagulls seek coach for women\u2019s reserves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Barwon Heads Football and Netball Club (BHFNC) is preparing to celebrate its 100th year in 2022, and is seeking a new coach for its women\u2019s reserves team.<\/p>\n<p>The club\u2019s women\u2019s football program was established in 2018 as one of the foundation teams in the league, and won that year\u2019s premiership flag.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, it has gone from strength-to-strength, and the Seagulls will field girls\u2019 football teams in the Under 10, Under 12, Under 15 and Under 18 divisions in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>As the program grows, BHFNC is looking for a coach for its reserves team as well as new players.<\/p>\n<p>The club is increasing the support it has around the players each year, all co-ordinated by senior women\u2019s football coach Josh Baceley.<\/p>\n<p>BHFNC is specifically focused on building connections with the girls\u2019 football program so it can contribute to the growth of female football in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The club recently reviewed key areas for women\u2019s football and reconfirmed the following four priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Player attraction \u2013 in order to grow our program and women\u2019s football, we actively encourage and welcome new players to BHFNC<\/li>\n<li>Player retention \u2013 it is vital that we provide a fun, supportive and constructive environment for players so they stay at the club<\/li>\n<li>Player development \u2013 it is vital that we focus on developing all players who have a desire to improve, not just the stronger players, and<\/li>\n<li>Player welfare \u2013 we recognise that football and BHFNC play a variety of roles in people\u2019s lives and we recognise the different drivers and motivations that we all have in being part of BHFNC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The club\u2019s fifth priority is winning games and finals. BHFNC wants to instill a winning culture in its teams, but never at the expense of the first four priorities.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a coach who is looking to develop their coaching credentials with a positive, development and growth orientated program, BHFNC would love to hear from you &#8211; email admin@barwonheadsfnc.org.au.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a player (or have always wanted to give it a go), the club would love to hear from you as well.
