WELL-KNOWN Australia actor Steve Bastoni says extending the Peninsula Film Festival to the Bellarine is the fruition of a long-held dream.<\/p>\n
In an exciting coup for the Borough, the festival will come to Queenscliff this February.<\/p>\n
The free, family-friendly event will be staged in the Queenscliff Town Hall on February 10 from 7pm to 10.30pm.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy extending the festival to Queenscliff, we are bringing our program to a new audience and providing them with the opportunity to view fresh Australian and international content that they won\u2019t see anywhere else,\u201d Mr Bastoni said.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2011, the Peninsula Film Festival has attracted growing support from audiences and acclaimed actors and directors including Fred Schepisi, Sam Worthington, Russell Crowe and Nash Edgerton.<\/p>\n
Borough mayor Susan Salter said the council was thrilled to welcome the Peninsula Film Festival to Queenscliff.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis popular event presents another drawcard for visitors to our region and creates increased opportunities for our community to benefit,\u201d Cr Salter said.<\/p>\n
