AUSTRALIAN chart-toppers Lime Cordiale have scrapped a planned Mount Duneed music festival next month and will instead play at a rival event.<\/p>\n
The pop rock duo announced last week that their Squeeze Festival was cancelled, citing COVID impacts.<\/p>\n
The band indicated that difficulty with ticket sales for its festival caused the reshuffle.<\/p>\n
A Day on the Green was scheduled to present the event on April 16 at Mt Duneed Estate as part of a 12-stop tour, which would have also brought acts including Thelma Plum, the VANNS and Client Liaison to the local venue.<\/p>\n
Lime Cordiale took to social media later in the week to announce it had replaced German alt-rock pair Milky Chance on the ticket for triple j’s Groovin the Moo, which has tour dates from April 23 to April 30 at Maitland, Canberra and Bendigo.<\/p>\n
The band and promoters Chugg Music said ticket holders would be eligible for refunds.<\/p>\n
“Lime Cordiale and Chugg Music regret to announce that their Squeeze Festival dates will not be going ahead in 2022 as planned,” the festival said in a statement.<\/p>\n
“Refunds will be available from the point of purchase.<\/p>\n
“Unfortunately, the uncertainty around large-scaled outdoor events in recent months has had an impact on Squeeze festival, a major regional touring festival announced in December 2021.<\/p>\n
“The Squeeze Festival, featuring Lime Cordiale and a packed bill of special guests will return in 2023.”<\/p>\n
A Day on the Green apologised to ticketholders for the cancellation, which it attributed to “unforeseen circumstances”.<\/p>\n
Aussie icons Crowded House remain on track to headline a tour date at Mount Duneed the following week, April 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
