GEELONG Young Professionals (GYP) hosted almost 100 up-and-coming arts and tourism mavens for a networking event with a panel of local industry leaders.<\/p>\n

GYP hosted its networking breakfast at GMHBA Stadium last week, where some of Geelong’s most pre-eminent voices in the sectors passed on their insights, knowledge and vision for the city’s arts and tourism future.<\/p>\n

Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine’s (TGGB) Brett Ince, Geelong Arts Centre chief and creative director Joel McGuiness, Platform Arts executive director Ilana Russel and Geelong Gallery deputy director of development and commercial operations Penny Whitehead were on the expert panel.<\/p>\n

GYP said it was impressed with the event turnout, which indicated bright prospects for the future of the industries.<\/p>\n

“Geelong Young Professionals were thrilled to have welcomed over 80 attendees to our Tourism and Culture Networking event at GMHBA Stadium,” the GYP committee said.<\/p>\n

“For Geelong Young Professionals, our events provide a platform for our network to connect with each other and learn about the region as an opportunity for personal and professional development.<\/p>\n
