genU\u2019s food processing unit, which has been running for 8 years, caters and delivers to about 30 local businesses across the Surf Coast, Bellarine and Geelong regions daily.<\/p>\n
Businesses range from cafes to restaurants to aged care centres and hospitals.<\/p>\n
Meaningful employment to people living with a disability is one of the many benefits the unit provides.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven we are becoming more and more busy, we are about to start opening up more opportunities for people living with disabilities to join the team to keep up with demand,\u201d Mr Helyer said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of camaraderie and support within our unit and there is always a laugh going, we\u2019re always having a good time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe workers definitely work hard and enjoy themselves in that department.\u201d<\/p>\n
