Mr Mischkulnig said The Remaginarium\u2019s GDW events had attracted greater numbers than previous years as the week gained traction among locals.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe certainly got a greater number of people coming in specifically for it, rather than experiencing it as part of coming into our space,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s becoming understood as an event in its own right, rather than a spin-off of Melbourne Design Week like it was in the first year or two.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Walker agreed: \u201cOverall I think it went very well. We were getting a lot of social media coverage and there was good visitation around the events,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery design week, people become more aware of Geelong as a UNESCO city of design, which really raises the profile, and I think that\u2019s important.\u201d<\/p>\n
Curators will meet with City of Greater Geelong project officers to formally review this year\u2019s event in coming days, before focus shifts to planning for next year\u2019s extravaganza.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
