{"id":5165,"date":"2018-01-09T04:24:12","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T04:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=5165"},"modified":"2018-01-09T04:24:12","modified_gmt":"2018-01-09T04:24:12","slug":"be-their-guest-at-gpac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/be-their-guest-at-gpac\/","title":{"rendered":"Be their guest at GPAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dating back to 18th century France, Beauty and the Beast is a classic French tale told by Disney and has been enchanting audiences since 1991.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With charming musical numbers, stunning costumes and a heart-warming story of love and resilience, this is a stage production not to be missed.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Footlight Productions, the leading cast include Joshua McGuane (The Beast), Nicole Kaminski (Belle), Emma Clair Ford (Mrs. Potts), Adam Porter (Lumiere), Jamie McGuane (Cogsworth) and Vaughn Rae (Gaston).<\/p>\n<p>An experienced group of musicians creating the ensemble include David Van Etten, Charlie McIntyre, Cassidy Chappell, Casey Reid, Rosie Byth and Liam Ryder.<\/p>\n<p>Footlight Productions producer Margaret Wills is excited to see the musical come to life on stage for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an absolutely beautiful musical suitable for every age,\u201d Margaret said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year, we produced Wicked and this year we wanted to do a different, more family inclusive musical. A couple of years back we staged Mary Poppins and it was great to see all the kids coming with the parents and grandparents to see the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeauty and the Beast has great songs and lavish costumes, with big numbers including \u2018Be Our Guest\u2019 and opening song \u2018Belle\u2019, which will appeal to all audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beauty and the Beast is a large undertaking for Footlight Productions who have most recently staged Wicked, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady and Miss Saigon.<\/p>\n<p>Beauty and the Beast will open on January 19 at the GPAC Playhouse Theatre for a three-week season.<\/p>\n<p>Evening performances are at 7.30pm, matinees starting at 2pm on January 27, 28 and February 3 and 4.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are now on sale.
