Port festival volunteers ready for shell of a great time<\/h2>\n

PORTARLINGTON Mussel Festival\u2019s dedicated team of volunteers will be out in force this weekend when an expected 30,000 visitors descend on the seaside town.<\/p>\n

More than 200 volunteers, some from local organisations or who join in for the fun of it, will work tirelessly to make sure a great time is had by all on Saturday January 13.<\/p>\n

The 12th annual festival is mixing things up this year with new acts, entertainment and food to keep everyone happy.<\/p>\n

It continues to be a family-friendly and community-oriented event, with profits going to support a number of worthy local organisations.<\/p>\n

The mussel festival, which runs from 9.30am to 5pm, costs just $2 per person (children enter free), and there is free parking and a shuttle bus.<\/p>\n
