CLIFTON Springs Golf Club will host Maddie\u2019s Day On The Purple Pro-Am this weekend.<\/p>\n
The event, to be held on Sunday, January 14, will support Maddie Riewoldt\u2019s Vision to find a cure for bone marrow failure.<\/p>\n
Sport stars will tee off from the purple turf, including Essendon footballer Brendon Goddard, pro golfer and Olympic record holder Marcus Fraser, Cats veteran Harry Taylor and ex-footballers Corey McKernan and Sam Newman.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s field will also include 2015 VicOpen winners and European members Richard Green and his wife Marianne Skarpnord.<\/p>\n
Every summer, Clifton Springs Golf Club hosts a celebrity pro-am that sees amateur golfers and sporting stars alike converge on the stunning seaside golf course overlooking the Bellarine, in the hope of taking home the $11,000 cash prize.<\/p>\n
Maddie\u2019s Day On The Purple welcomes families and visitors alike to share in the spectacle, with a free family day held on the edge of the rolling greens, with a pop-up bar and food stand serving Middle Eastern street food, mini golf for the kids, a golf clinic run by the PGA and a longest drive hitting competition.<\/p>\n
