FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected gas leak at the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Reserve on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Four CFA trucks from Queenscliff and Ocean Grove attended the incident on Point Lonsdale Road at 2pm.<\/p>\n
A CFA media spokesperson said it appeared a gas main had been ruptured and that the incident was called under control shortly after 3pm.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt appears a gas main was ruptured,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cVictoria Police and a gas company were in attendance, and local council and Parks Victoria were notified.\u201d<\/p>\n
Victoria Police attended the leak for traffic control as the gas company had to dig up parts of the road\/footpath to fix the problem.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe leak was contained by the gas company,\u201d The spokesperson said said.<\/p>\n
