GEELONG Chamber of Commerce has announced finalists for its prestigious Business Excellence Awards.<\/p>\n
Local business leaders will gather at GMHBA Stadium on October 27 to crown 2022 winners across 20 categories for organisations and individuals.<\/p>\n
CentreStage Managing Director David Greenwood, Geelong Authority chair Diana Taylor, Gordon TAFE CEO Joe Ormeno, Cabinets by Computer general manager Justin Collins and Geelong Business Club president Maree Herath are in the running to be named Business Leader of the Year.<\/p>\n
A field of three will also contest the Young Entrepreneur of the Year: publican Cam O\u2019Keefe, hairdressing business owner Lee-Anne Campigli and psychotherapist Shannon Bowman.<\/p>\n

The chamber said it was thrilled with the quality and depth of entries for this year\u2019s awards, with nominations up 20 per cent compared with the previous year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a huge testament to our incredible clever, creative and connected Geelong business community,\u201d the chamber stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhilst not all entrants can proceed as finalists, the process allows all businesses to review and reflect on their business operations and potentially gain valuable insights and identify new key business improvements.\u201d<\/p>\n
