Last drinks were called on Friday night at the Beach Hotel Jan Juc, as owners Kirsty and Rohan Pertzel said goodbye to their regular customers and friends from the past 10 years.<\/p>\n

The Beach Hotel will take on new ownership in the coming days in what will be a bittersweet moment for the local couple. \u201cIt was one of the biggest Friday nights we\u2019ve seen at the Beach Hotel,\u201d Kirsty said. \u201cIt was overwhelming and lovely to see everyone make the effort to turn up and say goodbye. I know we\u2019ll see them around, but it\u2019s still sad. We\u2019re looking forward to the next adventure and we can\u2019t thank anyone enough for their support. We\u2019re looking forward to enjoying the area for the first summer in 10 years.\u201d Kirsty and Rohan were given small gifts from local clubs as small gestures of thanks for their support of the local community in the past decade. \u201cThe Jan Juc Boardrider\u2019s club gave us Champagne as a thank you on Friday night and it was so beautiful to see others offering their thanks too.\u201d<\/p>\n
