regularly commuting to work are able to continue using the weekday services to the city, which are helping support the return of workers to the office.<\/p>\n<p>Daytrippers will also welcome access to the service throughout the summer months, including the Christmas school holidays, when tourist numbers swell across the Bellarine.<\/p>\n<p>The more than $1.34 million towards the continuation of the Portarlington to Docklands ferry was funded as part of the most recent State Budget.<\/p>\n<p>While use of the service is starting to return to pre-pandemic levels, the 12-month extension to the trial through to June 30, 2023 will enable a better assessment of longer-term options.<\/p>\n<p>Works have also just been completed at Portarlington Harbour as part of the Victorian government\u2019s $24 million Piers and Jetties Stimulus Package.<\/p>\n<p>Improvements included an all-weather access from the foreshore to the ferry service, a strengthened pier head to enable vehicle access for the
