The event has been running for about 15 years, and this year attracted more than 100 children who built a kite and flew it on Ocean Grove beach.<\/p>\n<p>Lions Club of Ocean Grove Barwon Heads president Grant Hull said it was great to see the children\u2019s smiling faces and watch the young ones learning new skills and playing outside.<\/p>\n<p>Project organiser Simon Stuart said the Club was delighted with the day and that it would be back again in 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE skies of Ocean Grove were awash with kites on Australia Day when more than 100 children took part in a free Kite Building and Flying Day.
