Photo: JAY TOWN<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As well as getting a chance to pose with the Melbourne Cup, guests at the Portarlington Grand Hotel could also view the Geelong Cup, which will be run later this month.<\/p>\n<p>The Melbourne Cup travelled to Portarlington Primary School and then made its way down Newcombe Street and visited several local businesses, before attending an evening function at the Portarlington Golf Club.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60398\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60398\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-60398 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/melbcupport3_00992-1-640x320.jpg?_t=1665007916\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-60398\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Guests at the lunch lined up for their chance for a photo with the cup.
