{"id":60404,"date":"2022-10-09T04:00:49","date_gmt":"2022-10-08T17:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=60404"},"modified":"2022-10-06T10:01:30","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T23:01:30","slug":"history-centre-celebrates-new-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/history-centre-celebrates-new-era\/","title":{"rendered":"History centre celebrates new era"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>QUEENSCLIFF Historical Museum is debuting its brand-new home with an exhibition exploring the town&#8217;s early history.<\/p>\n<p>The museum moved into the new Queenscliff Hub at Hesse Street last week as it unveiled its Queenscliffe Revealed: Hidden Histories \u2013 New Narratives show kicking off on September 27.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers have developed the exhibition and finished a fitout of the new museum space, which includes specialist lighting and display cabinets, in the lead-up to the showcase.<\/p>\n<p>QHM president Steve Lee said the group had sensed the excitement from the Queenscliff community at the opening of the new community centre.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The response since we&#8217;ve opened the doors has been amazing,&#8221; Mr Lee said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve had up to 200 people through each day.
