This led to Art studies at RMIT and the University of Hobart.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60979\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60979\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-60979\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/Pic2_42759.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"465\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-60979\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The artist begins his artworks painting or sketching on site in the tradition of en plein air painting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also taught art throughout Melbourne and the Bellarine. He presently is operating his own business, Cobalt Painting Services, with a focus on trade painting and private commissions.<\/p>\n<p>As a tonalist painter, Frankpitt draws influence from French and Australian Impressionist painters. He begins his artworks painting or sketching on site in the tradition of en plein air painting, preferring to use sketches back in the studio.<\/p>\n<p>Recently photography is also being used in combination with other found images as Frankpitt becomes more experimental in his approach to making art.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60978\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60978\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-60978\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/10\/pic3_42753.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"283\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-60978\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">As a tonalist painter, Darin Frankpitt draws influence from French and Australian Impressionist painters<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A new inspiration is to paint murals and I am finding myself moving away from my traditional compositions and processes to an experimental phase, where many elements of surrealism are finding their way into the painting action.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Frankpitt is brave and honest in his exploration of his emotions and feelings.
