{"id":61094,"date":"2022-10-29T04:00:39","date_gmt":"2022-10-28T17:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=61094"},"modified":"2022-10-29T04:00:39","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T17:00:39","slug":"all-ford-day-organisers-revved-up-for-registrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/all-ford-day-organisers-revved-up-for-registrations\/","title":{"rendered":"All Ford Day organisers revved up for registrations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ENTRIES have opened early for Australia&#8217;s largest gathering of Ford vehicles, which will take place on Geelong&#8217;s waterfront.<\/p>\n<p>Event director Nicholas Heath said Geelong&#8217;s annual All Ford Day is returning in 2023 with thousands of cars featuring the Blue Oval expected to meet at Geelong&#8217;s Eastern Park, the &#8220;spiritual home&#8221; of Ford.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The 2022 event welcomed over 1,350 Ford vehicles, documenting the Ford&#8217;s evolution, from the Model T to the Raptor and everything in between,&#8221; Mr Heath said.<\/p>\n<p>Slated for March 19 next year, All Ford Day encapsulates the rich history of the Ford Motor Company in Geelong each year, a history spanning over 90 years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 511px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2022\/10\/AllFordDay2022-_00017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"511\" height=\"288\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eastern Park will act as the mecca for Ford lovers with the waterfront area to be lined with cars.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Those in attendance will get the rare opportunity to browse an unprecedented range of well-maintained Ford models, a mecca for enthusiasts with a deep connection to the brand.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Last year&#8217;s All Ford Day was very short notice, we didn&#8217;t know we could do it until just before the event, but this time around we can really plan ahead,&#8221; Mr Heath said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All Ford Day isn&#8217;t really about individuals, it&#8217;s also about clubs coming together, and it takes a while for clubs to get organised.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So the longer we can give people to prepare for the day, the better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 508px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2022\/10\/AllFordDay2022-_40488.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"508\" height=\"286\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From Falcons to Fairlanes to Raptors, All Ford Day is expected to have it all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Many of the vehicles on show will be judged in one of 30 categories throughout the course of the event, with the overall winner awarded the coveted William Clay Jr. Trophy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The All Ford Day grows in popularity each year and we expect an even larger collection of impressive vehicles in March next year,&#8221; event secretary Chris Sager said.<\/p>\n<p>Patrons are encouraged to enjoy a bite to eat from one of the food trucks on site or bring a picnic lunch on the day.<\/p>\n<p>The All Ford Day is supported by the City of Greater Geelong, Ford Motor Company and the Ford motoring clubs and enthusiasts that bring the event to life each year.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket sales and entries are open now at allfordday.org.au<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ENTRIES have opened early for Australia&#8217;s largest gathering of Ford vehicles, which will take place on Geelong&#8217;s waterfront.
