{"id":61431,"date":"2022-11-08T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-07T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=61431"},"modified":"2022-11-08T08:45:52","modified_gmt":"2022-11-07T21:45:52","slug":"three-election-forums-set-for-the-bellarine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/three-election-forums-set-for-the-bellarine\/","title":{"rendered":"Three election forums set for the Bellarine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Combined Bellarine Community Association (CBCA) is co-ordinating three &#8220;meet the candidates&#8221; forums to be held across the peninsula from next week onwards.<\/p>\n<p>CBCA has worked with each of the Bellarine Peninsula&#8217;s community organisations to set up and run the events, which will take place as the official election campaign begins and candidates in the Bellarine Ward lobby for votes.<\/p>\n<p>The events will be held on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, November 7 at 7.30pm at the Potato Shed in Drysdale, organised by associations from Portarlington, Drysdale, Clifton Springs and Curlewis, St Leonards and Indented Head, in conjunction with Pulse FM Radio, at 7.30pm<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, November 10 at 7pm at Barwon Heads Hall, organised by Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove associations, and<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, November 16 at 7.30pm at Point Lonsdale Primary School, organised by Point Lonsdale and Queenscliffe associations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;These events are great opportunities to engage directly with our candidates on issues that concern you,&#8221; a CBCA spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We expect that a range of candidates, and parties, will be involved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Come along and have your say.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pre-polling starts on November 14 and election day is November 26.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Combined Bellarine Community Association (CBCA) is co-ordinating three &#8220;meet the candidates&#8221; forums to be held across the peninsula from next week onwards.
