LEOPOLD mum Loz Hardman is planning a family fun day this year that will raise money for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.<\/p>\n
A cancer survivor herself, Mrs Hardman envisages that the event will be held in October and will include live bands, children\u2019s activities and food vans.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m inspired by the work of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and wanted to support them,\u201d Mrs Hardman said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe more people that know about the foundation, the greater their impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs Hardman is no stranger to organising events after she stepped into the manager position for last year\u2019s Bellarine Relay For Life at Leopold Primary School.<\/p>\n
Mrs Hardman has since resigned from the RFL committee to focus on her own dream of organising a fundraiser that raises money for cancer research.<\/p>\n
She is now on the search for some other like-minded people who will support her vision.<\/p>\n
She is looking for volunteers to help with the planning of the event, an insurance broker to donate public liability insurance and some sponsors to jump on board.<\/p>\n
