{"id":66924,"date":"2023-04-02T04:10:27","date_gmt":"2023-04-01T18:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=66924"},"modified":"2023-04-02T04:10:27","modified_gmt":"2023-04-01T18:10:27","slug":"austins-wine-on-the-waterfront","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/austins-wine-on-the-waterfront\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin&#8217;s Wine on the Waterfront"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THIS weekend, local Bellarine Winery Austin\u2019s Wine and Novotel are joining in on the Tastes of Central Geelong Festival with a Waterfront Long Lunch Feast.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event is taking place as part of the Weekend of Wine in the Waterfront Restaurant during Tastes of Central Geelong, including a lunch by Novotel Geelong paired with four wines from Austin\u2019s Wine.<\/p>\n<p>Co-owner of Austin\u2019s Wine Belinda Austin said the winery is thrilled to be part of the weekend, especially as it is their first official collaboration with Novotel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just looking forward having the Geelong businesses coming together and collaborate on things like this and encourage each other\u2019s businesses and promote the region,\u201d Belinda said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNovotel are doing a shared lunch style, which is really nice because it\u2019s beautiful food but it\u2019s a much more casual dining option.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Belinda said at the event the winery will be showing off rarer wines alongside their classics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re providing four wines; the Curated Riesling, Off Dry, is definitely a highlight as it\u2019s really not readily available and often hard to find. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it will pair fantastically with the starters\u2026 [Novotel] have made these amazing starters, things like pacific rock oyster, with mint and cucumber and lemon and salt, and prosciutto with cherry tomatoes salsa, with caper berries \u2013 so really delicious starters to share that go perfectly with the curated Riesling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austin\u2019s Wine will also be pairing their award-winning Chardonnay with the starters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe food and wine is going to be fantastic, that\u2019s a no brainer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for me it\u2019s the location.
