OSCAR Robinson was the men\u2019s overall winner of the RT Edgar Bellarine Rip to River Classic 10-kilometre race on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Robinson, who was competing in the 18-29 age group, won with a time of 33 minutes and 14 seconds.<\/p>\n

Sarah Klein, who was competing in the 30-39 age group, was the fastest in the women\u2019s race, with a time of 38 minutes and 51 seconds.<\/p>\n

Jacob Bell was the men\u2019s overall winner of the five-kilometre beach run, with a time of 16 minutes and 36 seconds, and Janice De Vries took it home in the women\u2019s race, with a time of 19 minutes and 38 seconds.<\/p>\n

It was perfect running weather for all 580 participants after the event was postponed from early January due to extreme heat, and runners took a slight detour in the 10-kilometre race due to a temporary exclusion zone set up by Barwon Coast to protect the recently hatched hooded plover chicks.<\/p>\n

It was also the first year the Rip to River included a festival component, which meant the community could enjoy live music and food vans while watching the races.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the 13th Beach Osteopathy Kondak Tri is on this Sunday, February 26.<\/p>\n

Held at Barwon Heads, the race includes a 400m swim, 14km cycle and 4.4km run, which is perfect for all level of competitors.<\/p>\n
