Saturday \u2013 In the main competition, it was Stableford for both the Men and Ladies, which was played off the blue and red tees. Considering Club Championships were still running, a great turnout of 66 men took to the course resulting in a two grade competition in perfect conditions. a Grade was won by Andrew Stephens (9) on 38 from a close Mark Eccles (6) on 36. In B Grade, Terry Beggs (15) score of 39 was just enough to beat a fast finishing Keith Rixon (18) score of 38. The ball count ran down to 33. In the ladies competition we had some great scores, including today\u2019s winner Linda Turner (19) on a massive 40 points! Ball Pool ran down to 34 points and NTP on the 5th hole went to Judy Hodgkins. Today also marked Round 3 of the Men\u2019s Club Championships for a Grade, while B Grade played their final round. Playing a round of Stroke, a Grade leader Peter Brooks (+2) kept his unreal form going by posting a round 70, including eagles on the 9th and 16th, making his total of 214 shots the benchmark heading into the final round. Craig Corker (0) and Calem Hoffmann (2) are ready to pounce on any mistakes from the leader, as they finished Round 3 with 217 shots and 221 shots respectively. Congratulations to Bill Burnett (12), who\u2019s fantastic score of 76 in the final round, and overall score of 250 shots, cemented his spot as B Grade Club Champion of 2018. Runner-up was Austin Swain with an overall score of 263. NTP on the day went to John Girling on the 5th, David Parker on the 13th and Keith Rixon on the 17th. Huge shout out to Paul Allen who managed to get a hole-in-one on the 7th! The ball pool ran down to 33. Sunday Medley \u2013 Today was a Stableford Medley, with the Men playing off the white tees and Ladies playing off the gold tees. The winner today was Rod Brooker (3) with a score of 40, which narrowly beat John O\u2019Grady (26) with a final score of 39. The ball pool ran down to a score of 36.<\/p>\n
The final round of stroke for the A Grade Men\u2019s Club Championship was also played today. after three days of dominate play, leader Peter Brooks (+2) final round of 72 brought his overall score to an unbelievable 286 shots. Congratulations Peter on becoming the a Grade Club Champion of 2018! Runner-up was Craig Corker (0) whose final round of 78 took his overall shot count to 295 over the four days.<\/p>\n
The Ladies Club Champions for a Grade and B Grade were also decided today under match play conditions. In a Grade, Sharon Stewart (9) defeated Wendy Muller (15) to become the Ladies a Grade Club Champion. Well done Sharon on a fantastic effort!
