Community, Jobs and Training Expo.<\/p>\n<p>The expo, which was collaboratively run by WCIG, Jobs Victoria and Gforce Employment Solutions, presented an opportunity for local people to gain better access to support, services and local employment opportunities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71793\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71793\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71793 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/06\/7-640x320.jpg?_t=1687932288\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71793\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bellarine Training and Community Hub is hopeful of having events of this nature more often in the future.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It also allowed business mentors to engage with and identity those who need access to support to empower them through community connections, services and subsequent employment outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Key local employers including Multiskills Training, Neami National, Calibre Workforce, WCIG, Home Instead, Go Traffic, The Gordon and Homestyle Aged Care at Sea Views Manor were on hand to answer any questions locals had.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71794\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71794 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/06\/3-Copy-640x320.jpg?_t=1687932333\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Go Traffic\u2019s Kirsty Johnston and Marife McInerney chatting with attendee Jacqui Ballester.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Employers were also approached and spoke about their existing job vacancies, which led to opportunities for locals to directly apply and discuss any roles.<\/p>\n<p>Bellarine Training and Community Hub manager Chris James said the event provided genuine and positive engagement between community and industry.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71795\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71795\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71795 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/06\/6-640x320.jpg?_t=1687932368\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71795\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">WCIG mentor Amy Bella chatting to some of the business mentors at Monday evening&#8217;s expo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This event provided a fantastic opportunity for our community across the Bellarine to engage with employers, training and service providers who could assist with localised career and education opportunities and advice.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was great to see so many people take advantage of this event and a big thanks to the Jobs Victoria representatives who were able to deliver such value to the Bellarine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr James hoped events such as the Community Jobs and Training Expo would become more common on the Bellarine.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71785\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71785\" style=\"width: 419px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71785 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/06\/P1020034005_09933-e1687932728196-419x320.jpg?_t=1687932733\" alt=\"\" width=\"419\" height=\"320\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71785\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GForce\u2019s Christine Barnardo and WCIG mentor Amy Bella.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;The feedback from exhibitors was very positive whilst providing a valuable networking event to bring services and connections amongst community and industry,&#8221;
