The Collendina Cobras Cricket Club held their inaugural Pink Stumps Day on Saturday spearheaded by Andrew Love nurse Kate Every.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Decked out in pink, ladies enjoyed an afternoon of live music, raffle prizes and informative guest speakers while raising money for the McGrath Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time the Cobras have done a Pink Stumps Day, one of the guys Eddie from the cricket club thought it would be a good idea and we ran with it,\u201d Ms Every said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a nurse at Andrew Love so I get to work alongside the McGrath nurses and see what great work they do so for me, it was an easy cause to jump on board.\u201d<\/p>\n

The McGrath Foundation raises funds to provide breast care nurses Australia wide to advocate and support patients during their breast cancer journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just a great way to get a fabulous bunch of ladies together and raise awareness about breast cancer on the side, that\u2019s our focus,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ms Every said the day kicked off with the Cobras Under 13 team wearing pink and concluded with one of the club parents Mick offering pink Ubers home to all the ladies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had over 70 ladies attend and raised over $3,000, which is just a fantastic result,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
