VICTORIA’s best surfers will head to the hallowed Bells Beach to kick off the 2023\/24 Victorian Open Series later this year.<\/p>\n

The tri-event series will start at the world-class wave on the Surf Coast on October 7, before heading to Phillip Island and the Mornington Peninsula in February and March 2024 respectively.<\/p>\n

The Victorian Open Series is the state’s key pathway event to the Rip Curl Pro Victorian Trials, which gives one Victorian a spot in the main event at the World Surfing League Championhip Tour (CT) event Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.<\/p>\n

Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson said the Victorian Open Series was a great stepping stone for surfers looking to progress and make it to the next level.<\/p>\n

“As the lead in events to the Rip Curl Pro Trials, the Victorian Open Series is an important element to our development pathway.<\/p>\n

“The list of surfers who have gone on to the Championship Tour and Qualifying Series have gone through the Victorian Open Series is incredible.”<\/p>\n

Jan Juc boasts three former Victorian Open Series champions – 2022\/23 CT surfer India Robinson, 2023 Rip Curl Pro Victorian Trials winner Xavier Huxtable and former CT surfer Troy Brooks.<\/p>\n
