Gabi Pahan has always had a passion for baking.<\/p>\n
After owning a Melbourne eatery for 13 years, she made the sea change to the Bellarine Peninsula and was inspired to launch My Bellarine Kitchen.<\/p>\n
She started off at local markets and after COVID-19 hit, she pivoted to use her home based kitchen to bring dessert boxes to the community during lockdowns.<\/p>\n
The business quickly gained a loyal following, thanks to her commitment to using fresh, local ingredients and her creative baking skills.<\/p>\n
In 2022, to cater to rising demand, Ms Pahan moved to a dedicated kitchen with a small retail space in Ocean Grove.<\/p>\n
She is passionate about supporting local businesses, and where possible she sources her ingredients from farmers and suppliers on the Bellarine Peninsula. She also donates a portion of her profits to local charities.<\/p>\n
“I love baking because it’s a creative outlet for me,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I love coming up with new recipes and seeing the look on people’s faces when they try my cakes. I also love the fact that I can share my love of baking with the community.”<\/p>\n
