{"id":7488,"date":"2018-03-07T05:56:07","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T05:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=7488"},"modified":"2018-03-09T05:34:21","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T05:34:21","slug":"front-beach-goes-crazy-crab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/front-beach-goes-crazy-crab\/","title":{"rendered":"FRONT BEACH GOES CRAZY FOR CRAB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WITH mallet in hand, Torquay diners are crunching through four courses during Front Beach Taphouse and Restaurant\u2019s Crab March experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Owner Nick Cogger said they noted a recent craze of crab clubs popping up and decided to explore the experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCrab clubs are popping up around Australia and they all seem pretty successful and look like a fun night; we have a chef that\u2019s just come back from working in some of Dubai\u2019s top restaurants so we floated the idea with him and our head chef,\u201d Mr Cogger said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey came up with a menu and we got all the equipment sent in, the mallets and the bibs and table cloths and went from there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Cogger said the reaction had been great having booked out the first Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have the mallet and you get messy, it\u2019s just a good reason to go out.
