THE Torquay Tigers\u2019 batting proved too good for East Belmont at the weekend, winning the T20 U\/17 Championship.<\/p>\n
The Torquay boys scored 194 runs to East Belmont\u2019s 133 at Spring Creek Reserve.<\/p>\n
Torquay parent Steve Grossman said the boys batted first and did extremely well.<\/p>\n
\u201cBatting more than 190 in a T20 game is pretty high for that level,\u201d Mr Grossman said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe boys were pumped!\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Grossman said the team was coached by Daniel Emmerson, who had been a fantastic asset for the club.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is finishing up this year and he\u2019s been a great role model for the boys and we wish him the best of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n
