Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The display will also include the Geelong Guild&#8217;s Challenge \u2013 a judged exhibition of small quilts interpreting the &#8220;heritage&#8221; theme.<\/p>\n<p>Several traders&#8217; stalls will be selling a variety of quilting essentials.<\/p>\n<p>The members&#8217; trading table will have quality handmade items for sale.<\/p>\n<p>Heights Sewing Centre is supporting the Guild raffle with a selection of prizes, including a Janome sewing machine.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_115792\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-115792\" style=\"width: 501px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-115792 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/09\/LynWeeks_53092.jpg?_t=1694041475\" alt=\"\" width=\"501\" height=\"506\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-115792\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The guild has about 100 members who share their joy of creating quilts and inspire each other with their works.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other supporters of the exhibition are City of Greater Geelong and Bendigo Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The Very Snuggly Quilts team, one of the many charities the Geelong Guild donates to, will be at the exhibition to talk about the Very Snuggly Quilts project and quilt-making techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in 1998 and under the guidance of an official Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital Auxillary since 2004, the Very Snuggly Quilts project sees quilts made and donated to patients at the Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>National Wool Museum director Padraic Fisher will officially open the exhibition on September 23, with morning tea to be supplied, courtey of the National Wool Museum.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_115794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-115794\" style=\"width: 526px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-115794 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/09\/PaulineLorenz_81382.jpg?_t=1694041475\" alt=\"\" width=\"526\" height=\"395\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-115794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Quilts on show will encompass traditional, modern and art quilts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Geelong Patchwork and Quilters Guild say they look forward to welcoming the community to the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The Members Quilt Exhibition will be held at Geelong West Town Hall, 153 Pakington Street, Geelong West, on September 23 and 24 from 10am-4pm.
