BARWON Heads Community Arts Garden will celebrate its 10th birthday next week with a community celebration day.<\/p>\n
From a grassy patch of land, the garden has grown into a thriving community space enjoyed by garden members, and many community groups and the general public.<\/p>\n
The garden is a community-based permaculture garden that has communal veggie patches as well as individual allotments.<\/p>\n
It is also a gathering space, a space for the creation and display of art, and a living example and experiment in living green.<\/p>\n
Come along and celebrate 10 years of a community of people working together, having fun, sharing produce and many great times.<\/p>\n
Wander through the garden and talk to plot holders, and vote for your favourite plot.<\/p>\n
Listen to live music, eat food made from produce grown in the garden, and bring your \u201cfreaky\u201d vegetables along – a prize will be given to the freakiest, craziest vegetable.<\/p>\n
Barwon Heads Community Arts Garden\u2019s 10th Birthday Celebration Day is at 38 Geelong Road, Barwon Heads, on March 25 between 1.30 to 3.30 pm.<\/p>\n
